WSRA STEAM AND VINTAGE RALLY

WSRA Rally Fields  Norton Fitzwarren  Taunton  TA4 1BH

3 & 4 August 2024

The Volunteers Make it Happen.

The Steam and Vintage Vehicle Rally, Taunton, has something for everyone, from steam engines and vintage cars to motorcycles and archery. And that’s not all! You’ll find a working area, stationary engines, a locally stocked bar, plenty of food options, trade and craft stalls, and our ever-popular brake van rides on the heritage railway. With over 8,000 visitors, it’s one of Taunton’s most significant events and the UK’s only rally affiliated with a railway.

It’s all for a good cause – raising money to maintain the UK’s longest standard gauge Heritage steam railway.

But what sets this event apart is the friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. The organisers take pride in providing attendees with a safe and enjoyable experience.

The event takes around two weeks to set up and a week to take down.

The volunteers make it happen led by the chairman, Ben.

  • Use the days available from your company scheme for charity work?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we would love you to join us as a volunteer to help us at our upcoming event.

Why join us:

As a volunteer, you will be an essential part of our team and assist us with various tasks, such as setting up the venue, providing refreshments, and marshalling the event. We ask for a minimum commitment of one day, but it would be great if you could spare more time. Most of our volunteers enjoy it so much they stay for years!

As a thank you for your time and effort, we provide on-site catering, hot/cold drinks, cake and biscuits for our volunteers. Additionally, we offer a FREE family pass to the event (two adults /two kids), worth £46.

We have a variety of roles available, including setup/takedown, show, pre-set up, and marshals. Whether you’re interested in grounds maintenance, working in the rally shop or office, or helping with exhibitor and volunteer camping, we have a role that suits you.

The rally will take place on the weekend of 3rd to 4th August 2024, and we will be looking for your help from 29 July to 6 August.
